Many of our clients have highlighted the need for greater understanding around mental health, as it benefits both employee well-being and company performance. In response, we at We+ have developed an additional service to our fitness challenge. Now, we offer a complete solution that supports employees’ physical, social, and mental health.

We+’s new service – A mental health series

Our new service makes it easy for companies to integrate mental health into workplace wellness as an add-on to our social fitness challenge. We provide a complete solution that combines physical, social, and mental health, creating a stronger and more sustainable work environment.

Research shows that regular physical activity is a powerful way to enhance mental health and resilience against illness. That’s why physical activity is a core part of our program. By adding our mental health series, we expand the approach and fill a gap in the market, combining these elements into a stronger, holistic solution.

Raising awareness and reducing stigma

One of the main goals of our new service is to increase awareness of mental health in organizations. We want to help companies reduce the stigma that often surrounds mental health challenges and create an open dialogue where employees feel comfortable discussing their well-being.

Our broad approach ensures that all employees can find something relevant to them, whether it’s stress management, mindfulness, or sleep habits. Each topic is accompanied by practical tips and simple exercises that employees can integrate into their daily routines, both at work and at home. During the activity, we regularly publish mental health posts highlighting various aspects of mental health. The entire series is based on established knowledge from sources such as the Public Health Agency of Sweden.

How It Works

Introduction

Employees are introduced to the mental health series through the invitation to the fitness challenge. Upon logging in, participants receive a welcome message describing the purpose, goals, and aspects of mental health that will be covered during the activity.

Physical Activity and Social Support

As with our regular fitness challenges, employees meet their team and can immediately log their first workout, receiving lots of encouragement and support in return. Each time someone exercises, they share their workout with the group. With photos, videos, and encouraging comments, employees motivate each other to stay active. Everyone exercises how, when, and at the level they choose.

Mental Health: Tips and Exercises

During the activity, we publish mental health posts at regular intervals – a total of 14 posts, or about 2-3 per week, depending on the length of the challenge. These posts cover different aspects of mental health, from sleep and stress to self-compassion and mindfulness. Each post includes an introduction, useful tips, and simple exercises to try at work or home. All posts are collected in a dedicated Mental Health feed next to the team and company feeds.
